Volunteers are Awesome!
Our goal at RCT is to keep workshop and ticket prices at affordable levels to ensure access to the arts in Rocklin and Placer County. We could not do this without the volunteers who have given so much of their time to make RCT a reality.
From the board members (with their collective "Andy Hardy" moment) who formed RCT - to those who volunteered during the shows and at our fund raisers - we would not have made it through our first year without your support.
Here is an example of the dedication of our volunteers: over 1,450 volunteer hours were donated during our production of Annie in December 2009. This includes: production staff, students doing Community Service hours working Tech and backstage, ticket sellers, snack bar servers, set painters, floor sweepers, folks who took out the garbage after each show, and many others who stepped up to do all of the tasks that it takes to get a show up on the stage.
As we grow, we will have even more opportunities to volunteer. In addition to the jobs mentioned above associated with a show, we will need help with things like community outreach, marketing, ad sales, and office work.
